In this tutorial you are going to see how to fade out video in kdenlive free video editor.

First drag & drop the videos on timeline. Click on the play button to check them. You can see there are no effects. Now click on effects. In search box type fade. First method- Drag & drop fade from black on at the beginning of the clips. Drag & drop fade to black at on end of each clip. Click on the play button to check it. Click on the effect on the clip to change it’s duration. Drag the duration slider to change duration. To delete effect click on delete button. second method- Take the mouse pointer at the left corner of the clip & drag to add fade in effect. Take the mouse pointer at the right corner of the clip & drag to add fade out effect.

So this way we can add fade in effect to video using kdenlive.
