In this tutorial we will see how to split or trim video in olive video editor.

Drag & drop video clip on timeline.
Play the video in sequence viewer to see where you want to split or cut the clip.
Or drag the playhead where you want to split or cut the clip.
Right click on the clip on timeline. From pop up menu click on split.
You can see clip got divided in two parts.
Or take the playhead where you want to split the clip & hit ctrl + k keys on keyboard .
Or you can click on edit menu & click on split to split the clip.
If you want to delete any part first click on it to select it then hit delete key on keyboard.
To trim a clip take the mouse pointer at the border of clip and when it changes to bracket drag it inward till you want to trim the clip.
Trimming doesn’t delete the actual video so anytime if you want to get back actual video again take the pointer on edge and this time drag it outward.
