In this video you are going to see how to freeze frame in kdenlive.

First import the video in kdenlive,play it to check it. Drag & drop it on video track on timeline. Drag the playhead where you want to freeze the frame. Drag the zoom slider on status bar to zoom in on timeline. Now split the clip at playhead location. Use zoom slider to zoom out. Now again split the clip little further. Select the clip on which you want to add freeze effect. Go to effects, motion and drag and drop freeze effect on the clip. The clip will freeze at selected location. But this will trim out some portion of the video. So let’s bring it back. Drag the right side clip little aside and drag it’s left side to get back trimmed part.

So this way we can freeze frame in kdenlive
