In this post you are going to see how to take a snapshot in openshot video editor.

First import the video in openshot.
Drag & drop it on timeline.
Play the video in preview window.
Now drag the playhead at the beginning of the clip.
Press left or right arrow keys on keyboard to see video preview one frame at a time.
To take the snapshot click on little camera save current frame icon under video preview.

Go to the folder where you want to save the image.
give it a name and click on save button.
For snapshots png is the default format.
Open saved image to check it.

So this way we can take a snapshot in openshot.
